Virginia
K-C Peake is a multiple award winning and published Connecticut
artist whose oil paintings are characterized by their rich
color and are filled with light. Her subject matter includes
waterscapes, landscapes, and florals painted in the style
of contemporary realism with hints of impressionism. Patterns
of sunlight are favorites where her continuing study of
color is expressed. She is also sought after for her commissioned
portraits.
Virginia undertook an extensive apprenticeship with Ken
Wakeen. She continued her studies in art workshops, including
those run by established artists such as Franklin Jones,
Jack Flynn, Ovannes Berberian, John Budicin, Lois Griffel,
Kevin McPherson and Louise Demore.
Virginia was born in Caracas, Venezuela. After moving
to the United States, she lived in Darien, Connecticut.
She is a graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs,
New York. Her studio is located in Simsbury, Connecticut.
